Bally, the leader in walk-in coolers and freezers and
winner of the EPA Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award is pleased to announce
its compliance with new federal regulation with respect to R-Value in coolers
and freezers. The new federal standards, which will be effective January 1, 2009, not only legislate
minimum R-Values for coolers (R-25) and freezers (R-32) but also stipulate
certain requirements for accessories and refrigeration equipment. The major
provisions of the new law are as follows:

Evaporator and condensing unit fan motors
manufactured after January 1, 2009 must have energy efficient ECM (Electronically
Commutated Motor) Standard with Bally
·
Mandatory use of strip doors, spring hinges, door
closers or other means of minimizing infiltration on exterior doors (less than
3'9" wide) Spring-loaded
hinges and door closers are standard with Bally
·
Use of high efficiency fluorescent lights T5 Lighting is
standard with Bally
·
Use of double
and triple pane glass in view port windows in coolers and freezers Standard with Bally
·
Use of
anti-sweat heater with self regulating control to maximize energy conservation. Standard with Bally
